FAQs
How long will my order take?
Each item is made to order! What does that mean, you ask. Well, usually it means that once you place your order, I go into the studio and make your beads. They anneal in the kiln overnight, the next morning they are removed from the mandrels, cleaned and inspected. Once they are inspected I then package them for shipping or I make them into your piece of jewelry. It takes 3-5 business days for your items to be prepared, please allow up to 10 days during the busy season. Some times I have beads made in advance and can then make or ship your item more quickly. If you have a special occasion and need your items to ship quickly, feel free to contact me at shelly@perledivetro.com and I'm happy to let you know how soon your item can ship.
Custom Orders
Do you love a design, but want to have it in a different color? I am happy to give quotes for custom requests, most will have a 20% charge for customization plus any price difference in glass colors. Pinks for example are more expensive than blues and specialty colors like Double Helix and Hand Pulled Colors even more expensive. Have a special occasion and need your items to coordinate with dresses or personality? Contact me for samples or pictures of colors to match your special occasion. I can also make spacer or companion beads for a focal on request and charge by size and type of glass.
Can You Make That Bead Into Jewelry?
Yes, I can. Typically making a bead into a simple pendant with a chain will cost an additional $25-55 depending on materials. Bracelets are typically $65-95 depending on the beads and color. Earrings $25-55. More complex designs and sets start at $150 and will depend on the types of beads and other materials used.
Payment and Shipping
Pay safely and easily via PayPal and Shopify. Choose your shipping method at checkout.
Your items will be lovingly wrapped in recycled or repurposed bubble bubble wrap inside card board box and shipped in a recycled and reusable bubble mailer. I ship all items in bubble envelopes or if you upgrade your shipping, in their cardboard box. If you want your item gift wrapped and shipped directly to your recipient, just be sure to provide their name, address in the ship to spot and note the occasion.
What kind of glass do you use?
When I started I used exclusively Italian or Murano glass called Effetre. It's a lovely glass that is consistent and has been the same for generations. However, they have a limited color palette. I have recently added two small family owned glass lines, Double Helix and Creation Is Messy (CIM). Double Helix is a specialty silver glass designed and manufactured in the US. CIM is based in the US and manufactured abroad by a small artisan team. These glasses are more expensive, because they are hand pulled, but in my mind worth a little extra because of their gorgeous colors.
