Moon and the Stars over the water. I love sitting on the beach when everyone else has gone home, kids are tucked into bead and all you hear is the crashing of the waves. I thought I would share this sweet little beach with the moon and the stars with you. This bead starts with the sand and the night sky, then a small line of blue for the ocean and some silvered ivory for the reflection of the stars on the water. Then night sky is peppered with stars by melting in fine silver foil. The last step is to add the moon. I hope you will enjoy this little bead. I reminds me of being on the water at night and watching the moon come in.

I handcraft each glass bead in my studio with a torch and immediately put it into a kiln to stabilize the glass. This process of cooling or annealing usually happens overnight.
